In your own experienced which one is better? I need this for most of my travel here in the Philippines. Thanks.

Using only SMARTbro prepaid.
Not tried globe.

Depends on the time and your location.
A glorified 56K modem most of the time.

Been using the Visibility (pre-tattoo) for quite sometime now. Am right here in davao and speed is decent (WCDMA). It still depends on the location and time though, as Macmon said. I get better speed in Metro Manila and Cebu.

More than a year ago, I used Smart Bro prepaid, after a couple of months I decided to sell it. Useless more often than not and their technical support really sucks.

I have not tried using Globe Tattoo. I've been using Smart Bro and its okay for the portability it gives and instant internet everywhere you go. =)

Well Jessica Zafra just blogged about Globe Tattoo.

http://jessicarulestheuniverse.com/2009/10/15/livid/

In short, Globe Tattoo is useless.

One of my Globe Tattoo screenshots. I always have good connection/speed in Makati.

Time and location: true of these modem sticks. The autoscan for available signal can be teasing, jumpy or intermittent and signal pick-up is mostly according to location as per my experience, too.

Otherwise, depending on whether I actually am online using Tattoo (e.g. attempting to send a file between locations), the signal really varies from fast to a drop in data transmission to disconnection. I get lucky with a Tattoo HSDPA connection over at the northern hills of QC. Twitted about about it several times. Recently, just out of frustration, blogged about it too.

I am stationary at the moment and started writing this reply on HSDPA, previewing and hitting "Submit" on WCDMA. I guess tonight is my lucky night.

Neither. Use Sun Wireless Broadband, instead.
