Help! SCSI on Mac OS 9.2.2

Hi.

I bought a second hand SCSI external HDD and CDRW from one of the members of this forum. I recently had the much needed adapter for the PowerBook G3 "wallstreet" expecting those stuffs to work already. But when I tested it, it did not work. The devices are detected since it appeared in the system profiler but the CDRW cannot detect any CD and the external HDD is not recognized as an HDD. I think it is a problem with the driver. Am I right? The devices did not have any installer CD along with it. Is there a way for me to have the needed drivers of the SCSI devices? The brand of both devices is BUFFALO. I tried googling but majority of the texts are in Japanese characters.

I hope i can still use those stuffs since i already spent Php 5000 for it.

SUggestions will be highly appreciated.

I think thats because Buffalo is a Japanese company. There is quite a number of members here who have a bit of knowledge regarding Japanese. Post the actual model code of the products and maybe we can help.

SCSI peripherals for classic Mac OS need drivers. If you're using OS X, SCSI is supported natively. It doesn't matter where the product was manufactured. The important thing is the driver. The only generic SCSI driver for Classic Mac OS is B's Crew Lite. Unfortunately, this is a Japanese software and is not a free download. And it's quite rare to see now, You can try to search it in the net.

Good news! I have one. And it's in english yahoooo ! but give me sometime, I have to look for it somewhere in my old software repository. I'll send you by e-mail as soon as I find it.
